Migration to Shopify

Move to Shopify without losing your data or your rankings.

We plan the data, the redesign and the redirects together, so launch day is a switch, not a scramble.

Short answerA Shopify migration moves your store's products, customers, order history, content and URLs from another platform to Shopify. The critical parts are clean data mapping and a full 301 redirect map, so old links and Google rankings point to the new Shopify URLs from day one. Customer passwords can't be migrated, so customers reactivate their accounts.

FAQ

Shopify Migration: common questions.

Which platforms can you migrate to Shopify?

We migrate stores to Shopify from WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento, BigCommerce and other platforms. Depending on the source and the size of your catalog, we use Shopify's Store Migration app, CSV imports, migration tools or the API. See our guides for WooCommerce, Magento and Wix.

What gets migrated?

Typically products and variants, collections, customers, historical orders, blog posts, pages and URL redirects, plus gift cards where needed. We import products first, then customers, then orders, so records link correctly. Before importing orders we turn off staff order notifications so your team isn't flooded with emails.

How do you protect SEO during a migration?

We map every important old URL to its new Shopify URL with 301 redirects, carry over titles and meta descriptions, and keep content intact. Shopify standard plans allow up to 100,000 redirects. After launch we test top URLs and submit the new sitemap. Google advises keeping redirects for at least a year. See our SEO checklist.

Can you redesign the store as part of the migration?

Yes, and it's often the best time to do it. Since the theme has to be rebuilt on Shopify anyway, many brands combine migration with a new design. We follow the same process: design questionnaire, first Figma design in under a week, up to 3 revisions, then development and data migration.

Will my store be offline during the move?

No. Your current store stays live while we build and test the Shopify store behind a password. At launch we add redirects, connect your domain and go live. A brief DNS propagation window is normal, but customers can keep shopping throughout.
