Who we are

This website is run by The Silver Arc, a remote-first Shopify design and development studio. For anything related to your personal data, email karol@thesilverarc.com.

What we collect and why

• Project briefs. When you send the contact form we receive your name, email, website and message, so we can reply and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
• Emails. If you email us, we keep the conversation to handle your request and any project that follows.
• Call bookings. Discovery calls are booked through YouCanBook.me, which processes the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
• Analytics, only with consent. If you accept cookies, Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, anonymized session recordings). Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of service providers: Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Google Workspace (email), YouCanBook.me (call scheduling) and Microsoft Clarity (analytics, only with consent). Some of them are based in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, these providers rely on safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that don't become projects for up to 24 months, then delete them. Project correspondence is kept for as long as needed for the project and our legal and accounting obligations. Clarity data is kept according to Microsoft's retention settings.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
